When vanilla prices rocketed a few years back, plenty of producers quietly swapped the real thing for cheaper \u201cvanilla flavour.\u201d We didn\u2019t \u2014 and we won\u2019t. Not only because you can taste the difference, but because the Madagascan vanilla trade has long been affected by theft and corruption. That genuinely saddens us.<\/p>\n<p>By choosing an independent supply chain that supports small growers, we do our best to avoid feeding the gangs that try to control the market.
